Rochester Police Use Taser on Suspect

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -- A Rochester police officer was flagged down by a woman in the Silver Lake Foods parking lot in northeast Rochester last night around 9 o’clock.  

According to the Police report, she had been assaulted by her boyfriend who was with her in the car.  While talking to the victim, the boyfriend slid over to the driver seat and drove off. He then proceeded to crash the car over a curb near Kellogg Middle School, tried to run, was tased, apprehended and transported to St. Mary’s with a knee injury apparently suffered in the crash.

He is identified as 42 year old Desmond Reeder of Rochester.  He’s been charged with domestic assault, fleeing an officer and driving under the influence.  The victim had some of her hair pulled out but did not need medical help.
