You did it, Rochester! Thanks to both Chipotle Mexican Grill locations, you helped raise a TON of money for Paws and Claws Humane Association.

Earlier this month, Paws and Claws announced that, on Wednesday, May 17th, Chipotle was set to feature their organization during the 'Cause An Effect' promotion.

Paws and Claws, of course, is a fantastic Rochester organization that works tirelessly to find homeless cats and dogs their forever homes. Both my wife and I are proud volunteers there, and we adopted our big orange cat, Finn, from there, as well.

Here's how the 'Cause An Effect' promotion worked: Between 10:45 a.m. and 10 p.m. Wednesday, Chipotle would donate 50 percent of their proceeds to Paws and Claws. That's a pretty good percentage!

And, according to a post on the Paws and Claws Facebook page, the numbers are in. The total amount donated by Chipotle (thanks to you) was (drum roll, please)...

$2,245.75!

That's a pretty hefty donation!

And, yes, I added to that total, as well. I stopped by Wednesday afternoon and picked up a couple of Chipotle's famous burrito bowls for my me and my wife. Okay, I also picked up some chips and guac, too. (You can't go to Chipotle and not get the guacamole, can you?)

So, well done, Chipotle, and anyone who stopped there on Wednesday. Way to help out homeless animals in the Med City!
