Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) -  A Rochester woman has entered into a plea agreement in a child-abuse case. 27-year-old Andrea Meskill admitted to a felony child endangerment charge during a court appearance on Thursday. In exchange, prosecutors dropped a third-degree assault charge that alleged she caused her infant daughter to suffer serious injuries in August of last year.

The criminal complaint indicated Xrays of the 24-day-old baby showed several rib fractures, while another medical scan found a laceration on the child’s liver. Court documents say Meskill later admitted to police that she had been “rough” and may have “squeezed her hard” after she became upset when she tripped over her dog.

Meskill is scheduled to be sentenced on November 23rd.
