RPD Investigating RCTC Football Brawl

Rochester police investigators aren’t sure at this point if criminal charges will be filed in connection with a brawl that broke out after Saturday's RCTC football game.  Captain John Sherwin says RCTC players and those from the North Dakota team they had just defeated began fighting while headed to their locker rooms.

Sherwin says preliminary information indicates the players and some fans began throwing water bottles at each other and then punches were thrown before peace was restored.

Sherwin says one of the North Dakota players was treated for a facial injury and some property damage was also reported.
