Saint Mary's University of Minnesota Cancels Upcoming Ceremony
This Saturday, January 24th, is supposed to be the final chapter for many who have put their time and determination to getting their degree. Unfortunately, due to safety concerns, recent graduates of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota just got some disappointing news.
After reviewing the latest developments regarding the safety of our community and the strain on public safety and emergency response services in the metro area, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming commencement ceremony at Orchestra Hall this Saturday, Jan. 24. All graduates who were scheduled to participate will be moved to our May commencement ceremony on May 30, 2026.
We understand how disappointing this is and how hard our graduates have all worked for this milestone. We are proud of all that they have achieved and look forward to celebrating with them and their loved ones in May.
Their website continued to explain under the "information about commencement ceremony" that they want to host a ceremony for their graduates that is welcoming to all students and guests.
