Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -The Rochester Police Department has released some additional information concerning the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 21-year-old William “Harry” Hempy.

The University of Illinois student was home for spring break when he vanished. He was last heard from on March 25th when he spoke to his father on the phone, and officials say his cell phone was last used in the area of Essex Park near 55th Street and West River Road.

Investigators also note that Hempy’s family reported that he had recently rediscovered his religious beliefs and was eager to share those beliefs with others. It’s not known if that had anything to do with his disappearance, but Rochester Police are requesting that anyone, and particularly members of religious organizations or faith-based charity groups, who may have had contact with the young man to contact investigator Anne Swenson (507)328-6921.

Harry Hempy is: 6’0, 160 lbs, hazel eyes and has short, brown hair. He was last believed to be wearing a black jacket, jeans, and light colored Asics brand running shoes.
