
66-Year-Old Dodge Center Truck Driver Airlifted After Rollover Crash on I-35
The northbound semi entered the median ditch then rolled
Faribault, MN (KROC-AM News)- A southeast Minnesota truck driver was airlifted to a hospital after a crash on Interstate 35 Tuesday morning.

The crash caused slowdowns on the interstate’s northbound lanes in Rice County. Traffic was reduced to a single lane and was routed past the accident scene on the shoulder.
The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly after 4:30 a.m. The semi was the only vehicle involved.

Dodge Center Truck Driver Critically Injured in Rollover Crash on I-35 Near Faribault
The crash occurred on I-35 three miles south of the southern-most Faribault exit. The northbound semi entered the median ditch then rolled, according to the state crash report.
66-year-old Roger Don Payne of Dodge Center was identified as the truck driver. He was the only person in the cab.
He was flown to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol says.
Payne was buckled up and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the state crash report says.
The Rice County Sheriff’s Office, Faribault Fire Department and North Ambulance also responded to the crash.
