Serious Injury Crash Near Byron (UPDATED)

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a head-on crash near Byron that resulted in serious injuries.

Deputies responded to an area near Oxbow Park on County Road 5 shortly after 5:30 p.m. Friday and found that two vehicles had collided head-on and a third had crashed into the ditch. Officials say 24-year-old Molly Reise was headed north on the County Road when her car collided with a southbound car that was attempting to pass the third car in a no-passing zone.

The two adult males in the car attempting the pass suffered critical injuries. At last report, officials were still working to identify them. Reise also suffered serious injuries, while the occupants of the third vehicle were not hurt.
