St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Minnesota delivery driver who was the subject of a statewide missing person alert last week has died.

42-year-old Shuefuab 'Shue' Xiong of Apple Valley was reported missing on Jan. 14. Authorities said he reported to work but vanished after going out to make four pizza deliveries for the Apple Valley Domino's store. 

He was later reported to be in Richfield around 6:45 p.m. on the day of his disappearance and had used someone else’s phone to try and contact his family.

Over the weekend the Superior, WI Police Department reported finding Xiong’s car. A witness told officers Xiong was seen inside of the vehicle.

Law enforcement learned Xiong had apparently returned to the Twin Cities without his car after an acquaintance of Xiong told investigators they spoke around 8 p.m. Saturday in Roseville. 

Authorities also learned that Xiong may have been experiencing a mental health crisis.  

Missing Apple Valley, MN Dies by Suicide During Mental Health Crisis in St. Paul

On Tuesday, the St. Paul Police Department responded to a 911 call at a residence regarding a person in crisis. The caller identified the person as Xiong. 

St. Paul Police told reporters that officers evacuated the other people who were in the residence and attempted to talk Xiong out of the building. Xiong then exited the building and took his own life with a gun, police say.
