Slick Conditions Blamed for Semi Crash in Winona County
Ridgeway, MN (KROC-AM News) - The snow and ice likely contributed to a semi-truck crash on I-90 in Winona County. The State Patrol says a 34-year-old Grand Rapids man was heading west on the freeway when he lost control and the semi-truck rolled over near Ridgeway, which is about 8 miles west of Dakota.
The truck driver was transported to the hospital in Winona to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. The roadway was described as snow and ice covered when the crash occurred shortly before 11 pm.

Medina, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol is also reporting a fatal incident involving a pedestrian in the Twin Cities. The report says 55-year-old Pierkarski was apparently attempting to cross Highway 55 at an intersection near his home in Medina when he was struck by a car driven by a woman from Wright County around 9 pm.
