Moorhead, MN (Learfield News Service) - Sheriff's officials in northwest Minnesota say fog might have helped cause the crash of a twin engine plane Wednesday night near Moorhead.

Clay County sheriff's officials say the King Air Turboprop was approaching the Moorhead Airport when it crashed in a farm field close to a runway.

Seven people were on board, and they were treated at the scene with the exception of the pilot who was taken to a hospital in Fargo, North Dakota with minor injuries. Officials say the crash caused a fuel leak.
