Icing, Accumulating Snow Predicted to Hit Minnesota, Cause Potential Hazardous Travel Conditions
The NWS is predicting a combination of light snow and freezing drizzle to sweep across the southern portion of Minnesota Wednesday afternoon and evening.
Forecasters say the wintry precipitation could result in a glaze of ice that could create slippery conditions on untreated surfaces across southeastern Minnesota.
The NWS is also monitoring a storm capable of accumulating snow to Minnesota on Saturday.
So far the NWS has not released a snowfall prediction, however officials are asking Minnesotans to monitor forecasts and prepare for possibly hazardous travel conditions.
The NWS plans to release updated forecasts as system gets closer to southeastern Minnesota.
