This Doesn’t Happen at Every Thursdays on First

It's everybody's worst nightmare. You're downtown at a summer festival filled with people. You're sitting down, enjoying a bite to eat when, suddenly, this happens...

This poor woman dropped her cell phone and keys down a sewer grate this afternoon during Thursdays on First here in downtown Rochester. How horrible! Fortunately for her, the Rochester Public Works department was able to swoop in and save the day. Talk about your modern day heroes!

Within a couple minutes, the woman had her property back and could continue her normal Thursday routine. But for a little while, it was anything but another boring Thursday!

Have you ever had something like this happen to you? What did you do? I lost my wallet down at Thursdays on First a few years ago. Fortunately, somebody found it and was able to track me down. That was such a huge relief. I can imagine that's how this woman felt, too.
