Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Rochester man has been accused of sexually abusing a young girl over a period of multiple years.

A criminal complaint, filed in Olmsted County Court on Monday, says law enforcement first learned of the sexual abuse in November.

The court document describes the victim as a girl under the age of 15 and says the alleged sex assaults started when she was eight years old.

Charges: Rochester, MN Man Sexually Abused Young Girl Over Period of Several Years

During two separate interviews, the victim told the Todd County Sheriff’s Office that 22-year-old Sebastian August Treichler would repeatedly sexually assault her when she would visit his residence multiple times per year, the complaint says.

The complaint indicates says the sexual abuse started around 2015 and  lasted until 2021 at homes in Stewartville and in the Todd County community of Long Prairie.

She said Treichler would tell her they would get into trouble if she told anyone about the alleged sexual assaults, the charges say.

Treichler, who lived in Stewartville from 2016-2018, initially denied sexually assaulting the young girl during an interview with an Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office investigator, the complaint says.

He then told the detective the victim would not have a reason to lie and that he does not remember if anything happened between them, according to the court filing.

Treichler is charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. He’s due to make his first appearance in Olmsted County Court in March.
