Food Experts Argue This Midwest Taco Chain Is Better Than Taco Bell
Taco Bell has a huge following nationwide, but a national food publication says this Midwest restaurant chain has them beat. We've been saying that for years!
All Recipes is an online food content company that shares recipes. They call themselves a community built by and for kitchen experts. They say they're the world's leading digital food brand, and odds are you've probably used multiple recipes from them from time to time.

They came across my Facebook feed saying that this Midwest Chain is better than Taco Bell. Like I said, growing up, this is where we always went. Heck, they even invented Taco Tuesdays.
Of course, we're talking about Taco Johns, which has around 50 locations in Minnesota. They have over 380 locations across the country, most in the Midwest.
Reasons Why Taco Johns Is Better Than Taco Bell
I have to agree with what All Recipes had to say. Of course, the number one reason is Potato Ole's. They have been so ingrained into my taco-eating experience that I even make a copycat recipe at home for taco night. The crisp, perfectly seasoned golden rounds are delicious. Make sure you order a cup of nacho cheese to dunk them in!
Taco Tuesday's Six Pack & A Pound Deal
Taco John's is credited with inventing Taco Tuesday. They have been running their six pack and a pound (that's six tacos and a pound of potato ole's) since I can remember on Tuesdays.
Crispier, Fresher Tacos?
Tacos from Taco John's just hit better. They are crispier, crunchier, and consistently delicious. No shade against Taco Bell, I just really like my Taco John's tacos better.
Taco Bell Remains Number 1 In United States
While Taco John's has its loyal customers, so does Taco Bell. Taco Bell is actually the 4th biggest fast-food chain in America by sales, beat out only by McDonald's (#1), Starbucks, and Chick-Fil-A. Taco Bell has around 7,000 locations compared to Taco John's, which has less than 400 in the US.
