Many schools have a designated police officer to help keep the peace, but for one school in Wisconsin, that officer has brought down a lawsuit for how he handled a student.

A Rochester man has been sentenced to nearly 9-years in prison for drug and firearms convictions.

The possibility of using Rochester’s public transit system to transport thousands of middle and high school students to and from school is on the agenda for Monday’s meeting of the Rochester City Council Committee of the Whole Meeting.
