Farmer Dies in Grain Bin Mishap on Southern Minnesota Farm
Deputies and other first responders arrived at the farm, which is in rural New Richland, and found the farmer trapped in the overhead bin.
New Richland, MN (KROC-AM News)- A southern Minnesota farmer died in a grain bin mishap at his farm.

A news release issued Tuesday evening by the Waseca County Sheriff’s Office says the deadly incident happened Monday.
The victim’s wife called 911 around 11:20 a.m. and reported she was unable to make contact with her husband after he had entered the bin.
75-Year-Old Farmer Dies After Becoming Trapped in Grain Bin at his Rural New Richland Farm
Deputies and other first responders arrived at the farm, which is in rural New Richland, and found the farmer trapped in the overhead bin, which was holding corn.
He was retrieved from the bin and was pronounced dead at the scene, the news release says.
Authorities have identified the farmer as 75-year-old Michael Supalla.
The New Richland Police Department, New Richland Fire & Rescue, Waseca Fire & Rescue, Ellendale Fire & Rescue, and North Memorial Ambulance personnel also responded to the scene.
The Waseca County Sheriff’s Office says the first responders are extending their deepest condolences to Supalla’s family and friends.
