Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The State Patrol is reporting two motorcyclists were hurt in separate crashes in southeast Minnesota.

The first happened around 4:00 pm Sunday in rural Houston County. The State Patrol says 70-year-old Richard Bubbers of La Crescent was driving on Highway 26 in Brownsville Township when he collided with a deer. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The other wreck happened around 2:00 am Monday in rural Freeborn County. The State Patrol says 58-year-old Craig Zajicek of Glencoe was driving on southbound I-35 in Bancroft Township when his motorcycle collided with the interstate’s cable barrier. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A traffic wreck in central Minnesota involving two pickup trucks claimed the life of one of the drivers.

The State Patrol says the victim turned his truck in front of the other vehicle. The collision sent both trucks into the ditch. The man who died was identified as 69-year-old Dennis Jaschke of Randall. The other driver and her husband suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
