St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has unveiled the three finalists for the design of the new Minnesota parks and trails license plate.

The finalists were chosen from over 80 designs submitted to the DNR, which is inviting the public to vote for their favorite by visiting the agency’s website. The online balloting will continue through 5 PM on July 4th, and the DNR will announce the winner on July 6th.

The contest was organized as part of the 125th anniversary of Minnesota’s State Parks and trails. The winning design will be available for purchase in October at a cost of $60 dollars, in addition to regular vehicle license fees. Purchasers will enjoy unlimited access to State Parks and recreational area for one year.
