Red Wing, MN (KROC AM News) - A Wabasha man has pleaded guilty to 2nd degree intentional murder, admitting that he killed his girlfriend last year.  

23 year old Tanner Rix told investigators he shot 28 year old Angel Linderman in the head while in his car near Red Wing in September last year. Police did not become aware of the killing until the next day when he called 911 from his car while near Baldwin, Wisconsin. The victim’s body was in the front seat of the car. Officers also found some methamphetamine near the vehicle.

Rix was not formally charged with the crime until two weeks ago and entered the plea Wednesday. He will be sentenced next month.

The victim was the mother of a young girl.
