Weather Closings and Delays for Thursday, February 4, 2021

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for our area through midnight. Travel will be difficult today with mixed precipitation becoming all snow. Snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze. Several schools in our area have already announced late starts, have canceled classes or switched to distance learning for today. Here are the school closings and delays for Thursday, February 4, 2021:

Albert Lea Area Schools: Virtual Day For ALL Students
Alden-Conger Public School: 2 Hour Delay; No AM Pre-School
Austin Public Schools: Releasing an hour and a half early
Blooming Prairie Schools: Dismissing at 1pm
Caledonia Public Schools: Closed
Charles City Community Schools: Closed
Decorah Schools: Closed; evening parent-teacher conferences via Zoom or telephone will go on as scheduled.
Dover-Eyota Public Schools: Early dismissal - K-5th dismissing at 11:50 am - 6th-8th dismissing at noon.
Fillmore Central Public Schools: Distance learning day
Fillmore County DAC: Closed
Glenville-Emmons: Closed
Hayfield Community Schools: Closing at 11am
