What’s New at Oxbow Zoo?
Since the Minnesota Vikings don’t play this weekend, why not get back to nature and visit Oxbow Park & Zollman Zoo, located in Byron?
Of course, there are the regular furry friends to visit, but now this season, a new natural playscape has opened.
According to the website, www.co.olmsted.mn.us, this new natural playscape is called a “Path of Imagination.”
It offers a natural elements playground and an outdoor education area.
A few interactive activities include a sand pit, a maze, a rolling hill, a running hill, a rock tunnel and many more...
“Nature has so many opportunities to offer children of all ages to play and have fun while gaining a greater appreciation of the natural world. Kids are able to run and feel more freedom, while parents can easily watch from a distance and have a better sense of safety. Most features will be easily accessible to young children and disabled individuals.”
The Hours:
Park Open Daily - 7 am to 10 pm
Zollman Zoo Hours: Open Daily - 10 am to 4 pm
Enjoy the outdoors, while relaxing and watching the kids use their imagination!
