This recent stretch of nice weather has us thinking about spring and one of the most popular spring events in this area is the 100 Mile Garage Sale. We asked listeners this morning to share some of the treasures they've discovered at these types of sales and heard some great stories.

Miranda made us laugh when she said she found a bunch of "Shirtless Cowboy Romance Novels for like 10 cents each", others talked about getting pets at garage sales, a different Miranda said she got a "Larson solid glass screen door with both keys, never used. $50", and several people said they got great deals on tools, furniture, and clothes.

You never know what kind of treasure you'll take home when you travel around visiting all of the sales. Last year's 3-day event was postponed then ultimately canceled because of the pandemic but the 2021 100-Mile Garage Sale is going to happen!

The event stretches from Winona to Red Wing in Minnesota and across the border, it goes from Fountain City to Prescott. According to Explore Minnesota, "Thousands of individuals and businesses participate with their own garage sales, often whole neighborhoods.

The 100-Mile Garage Sale is one of our favorite things about spring, you can see the things we hate about this season below. FYI, the sales will take place Friday, May 7th through Sunday, May 9th.  Follow the event page on Facebook for updates.
