Spring is one of my favorite seasons in Minnesota. Not only are the morel mushrooms playing hide & seek as they are popping up in our state, but the hummingbirds and orioles are starting to show up again as well.
But one of the most magical sights that appear for a short stint in Minnesota is happens as well...and it is pops of the most gorgeous blue.

Yes...Virginia Bluebells are one of the perks of living in this state and below are a few of the top spots to catch a glimpse as their flowers act like a carpet in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
Top 3 Spots To View The Gorgeous Bluebells in Southeast Minnesota
#3 - Whitewater State Park
About 45 minutes from Rochester is this great park that features scenic bluff hiking, among other fun activities. During the spring, you'll have a chance to view bluebells in various areas of this park and also other wildflowers that will be mixed in.
#2 - Mayowood Trail
Along the Zumbro River in southwest Rochester is an easy trail to hop on where you can grab a look at some gorgeous bluebells that are thriving. Put your walking shoes on, bring some water, and don't forget your camera because after about 15 minutes, you'll come to the tucked-away spot full of bluebells.

#1 - Carley State Park
If you are hoping to find a location that is the most reliable to find bluebells, this is the top recommended spot. The best trail to find beautiful bluebells are usually the Bluebell/Wildflower Trail, which is located along the Whitewater River.
