St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The air in parts of Minnesota is still considered unhealthy for sensitive groups today because of the smoke from wildfires burning in western Canada.

While most of the state saw the smoky air exit on Sunday, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency says a narrow plume of smoke is still affecting areas of southwestern, central, and northeastern Minnesota today. An Air Quality Alert has been posted for those regions until 9 AM tomorrow because fine particulate pollution levels are predicted to be high enough to pose a health risk for the very young and old, those with chronic heart and respiratory problems, and anyone involved in heavy physical exertion outdoors.
