Spring Wine Fest 2020 celebrates the distinct flavors of wines made from grapes grown in Minnesota. Many of the varietals developed to survive cold temperatures and warm, muggy summers were bred in these two states along the Mississippi River. So it's kind of like you're tasting part of our region's rich agricultural heritage.

You can explore selections from more than 14 wineries, each pouring four to eight different wines. You'll also be able to taste cheese and other wine-friendly foods from Minnesota food producers and purchase up to six bottles of wine. A silent auction starts at 5:30 p.m., and the event itself is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Mayo Civic Center in Ballroom 1.

Organized by the Minnesota Grape Growers Association, the Spring Wine Fest coincides with the association's 2020 Cold Climate Conference on growing and marketing grapes and wine in the northern tier.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. They can be purchased online at MNGRAPES.org — or you can win them from us, courtesy of Minnesota Grape Growers Cold Climate Conference

Contest ends February 20, 2020 at 8:59 AM. Five winners will be selected and notified on February 20.
