Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Southeastern Minnesota could get hit hard by an approaching post-state tournament winter storm.

The National Weather Service has issued Winter Storm Warnings for southeastern Minnesota and areas of Wisconsin from noon Wednesday through noon Thursday. Forecasters say it now appears likely that heavy snow will develop in a band running from southeastern Minnesota into central and northeastern Wisconsin, and the accumulations could end up in the 8-14 inch range.

At this point, the heaviest snow is expected Wednesday night and early Thursday, with the snow ending late Thursday morning.
