Woman Accuses Stewartville Man of Violent Four Day Ordeal

Stewartville, MN (KROC AM News) - A Stewartville man could be facing several criminal charges for allegedly holding a woman against her will over a period of a few days.

The woman says the ordeal began with a dispute at a Stewartville residence Thursday night and continued until he left for work Monday. That’s when she contacted the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies later arrested 20-year-old Korey Avant at his place of employment. The woman says Avant assaulted her several times and hit her so hard on one occasion that her jaw may have been dislocated.
