Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - An elderly Wisconsin woman was hit by a car in Rochester Wednesday.

Fortunately, she was only a few hundred feet away from St Marys Hospital.

A police report says the 76-year-old Menomonie, Wisconsin woman was walking on 14th Ave SW around 7:00 am when she was hit.

The car that hit her was driven by a 64-year-old Rochester man. He told officers he was behind a bus that made a turn off the street and was going south when he struck the woman. He said he was driving between 20 and 25-mph at the time.

The man was not expected to face charges.

The woman’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
