Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A South Dakota man suffered serious injuries and may be in serious trouble after causing a deadly traffic wreck Wednesday in SW Minnesota.

The State Patrol says 34-year-old Braxton Anderson of New Effington turned his car in front of an oncoming vehicle and his Minnesota passenger was killed. She was identified as 20-year-old Brittany Schulz of Appleton. The State Patrol report indicates alcohol was detected in Anderson’s system and his injuries were life-threatening.

The other vehicle was driven by 31-year-old Scotty Ponun of Milan, Minnesota. He and a passenger were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The wreck happened near Montevideo around 6:00 PM.
