Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A funeral is planned later this week for a young boy who was revived following a near drowning in Dover last month.

The Caringbridge website set up by the family of Lincoln Tews indicates he died Sunday at St. Mary’s Hospital. The 1-year-old was in critical condition when he was airlifted to the hospital on the morning of June 24th. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department reported the child’s breathing had been restored by paramedics after he was found in a plastic tub outside his family’s home.

His mother told investigators Lincoln had been outside with his older siblings for a few minutes when she called the children inside. She immediately noticed the 1-year-old boy was not with them and it was discovered he had apparently fallen into the tub. It was filled with about a half foot of water and was used by the children to wash their feet before entering the house.

A post on his Caringbridge website indicates a visitation will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, and the funeral will take place at 11 o’clock Thursday morning at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lewiston.
