It's Spring Break! In some places, that means warm weather, pools, and flip-flops. But this is Rochester, Minnesota. No pools, no flip-flops, just a bunch of snow. But that's not all bad, right? You can build a snow chorus line, go sledding, or ski. Ski? SKI? James, it's way past ski-season so no one's grooming the trails! That might be true if it wasn't snowing, but I just found out, thru my sister, there's some groomin' goin' on!

I checked the Rochester Nordic Ski Trails Facebook page and there's a post reporting...

Essex trails partly rolled. Rock or "B/C" ski conditions (ruts, sticks, ice underneath) .. Ski with caution esp. on hills, until it firms up.

So if you're looking for something to do with your kids during Spring Break, here's your chance to make Mother Nature's Temper Tantrum work for you.

PS - There's talk that Quarry Hill will see some grooming, too, so check the Rochester Nordic Ski Trails Facebook page to see if there are any more trails ready to go.
