There’s a great event coming to town next week.  Rochester will host the Beep Baseball World Series August 5th – 9th.  What is Beep Baseball?   It’s a game designed for the visually impaired.  The softballs beep and the bases buzz.  Over 20 teams from across the USA are expected for the event.

To find out more about Beep Baseball, log on to their website:  www.nbba.org .

Rochester area residents are invited to come out and watch or consider volunteering for this great event.  The Rochester Amateur Sports Commission is looking for volunteers to help.  You can sign up as a family or group.  All volunteer jobs are easy and you’ll be trained right at the fields when you arrive.  The greatest areas of need are the on-field volunteer positions such as base umpire, base operator and team assistants.
