Channel One Wins Grant From Twins

With your help, they did it!   Congratulations to Channel One Food Bank.   They won the $500,000 grant from the Minnesota Twins and Major League Baseball.   The announcement was made at Target Field during Monday’s Home Run Derby.   Channel One was one of seven non-profit organizations that were vying for the grant.  People were encouraged to “vote” online and Channel One received the most votes.

Jennifer Woodford of Channel One says the money will be used for expansion of their facility to increase food storage and add a teaching kitchen and community classroom.
