Additional Information

The History Center of Olmsted County is a non-profit organization gathering financial support from our membership, volunteers, Olmsted County, the City of Rochester, events, and fundraisers. The programs organized by History Center staff take a long time to develop and implement. The Living History Fair Program is organized by a dedicated group of staff and volunteers who want to educate people about the past. The Living History Fair is set back in the year of the 1860’s. This is an important time in history to learn about because of the many changes in American History. Through the History Center of Olmsted County’s Living History Fair program, it teaches people our past so they can help understand the future. The Living History Fair encourages families to come and participate. This allows hands-on learning for mom, dad, and the kids.
