Rochester Civil War Round Table

November 9th, at 7 PM, the Rochester Civil War Round Table will feature Jim Ward, presenting "U. S. Grant... Galena to Shiloh". We will learn much about Galena, Illinois and its rich Civil War history. Galena is more than just a town that Ulysses Simpson Grant left to join the Civil War and to which he returned after the war. Seven Civil War generals called Galena home. Today 85% of the town's buildings are on the National Register of Historical Places. The presentation will be held at the History Center of Olmsted County, which is located at 1195 West Circle DR SW, Rochester, MN. The public is invited.
