Additional Information

In an effort to recognize May as Trauma Awareness Month combined with SMRTAC’s mission to decrease morbidity and mortality of trauma patients, SMRTAC is proud to announce the 1st Annual Trauma Awareness Fun Run. SMRTAC is a non-profit, multidisciplinary organization made up of a volunteer workforce of EMT’s, Dispatchers, Law Enforcement,  Emergency Dept. Providers, Trauma Surgeons, Nurses and more, who are working hard to improve the outcomes of trauma patients in our region.

Trauma touches everyone’s life in one way or another.  Whether you are a survivor who has overcome your injuries, to the family members who are grieving the loss of a loved one from a traumatic event, to those who are still recovering….. This event is for you!

We encourage all trauma survivors, friends & family members to participate whether or not you use assistive devices i.e. wheelchair, crutches etc.

There will be a brief program prior to the start of the race honoring trauma survivors who are participating in the event.

This family centered 2k/5k event will be held May 13th at the Soldiers Memorial Field in Rochester.  Registration is now open online. Go to https://smrtac.org/ All racers registered by April 20th are guaranteed a Trample Trauma T-shirt. A pre-race ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m. with the race to follow at 9:00 a.m. Proceeds of the race go to support trauma education and injury prevention projects.
