Grandma Erickson's Buttermilk Waffles
Smack the table good.
2 1/2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. oil
1. Preheat the waffle iron.
2. Mix the buttermilk, eggs and oil together. In a second bowl combine the sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
3. Pour into greased waffle iron and cook.
4. *You can make buttermilk 'substitute' by adding 1 Tbsp lemon juice to 1 c. milk. (Although its NOT as good as the real thing.)
