Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man has been sentenced to just over four years in prison for a conviction stemming from an incident last December.

30-year-old Thomas McReynolds pleaded guilty Friday to a charge involving possession of illegal ammunition. He was arrested December 6th after a woman called  911 to report McReynolds was trying to kick in her door. She also said he had a gun and hand grenade.

Officers sent to the woman’s residence located him nearby riding a bicycle and found a BB gun and a World War II  mortar round in his backpack. The St. Paul bomb squad was called and took the shell for testing. It’s not known where the mortar shell came from.
