The video explains it, I think Gene Simmons is a jerk-head-crap-face for saying what he did about Prince. Not because I'm a Prince fan...but for another reason altogether.

The story was in Newsweek and said, basically, David Bowie's death was tragic. He had a real sickness. What about Prince? Well, the death of Prince was "pathetic". Why? Drugs.

Here's the quote,

His drugs killed him. What do you think, he died from a cold? . . . I think Prince was heads, hands and feet above all the rest of them. I thought he left [Michael] Jackson in the dust. Prince was way beyond that.

But how pathetic that he killed himself. Don't kid yourself, that's what he did. Slowly, I'll grant you . . . but that's what drugs and alcohol is: A slow death."

Gene says he's never been drunk or high...and you know what? I believe him. I'm curious if he's ever taken pain killers, tho. I'd be surprised if he hadn't, but I don't know, so unlike Gene Simmons, I'm not going to go there.

I will say, tho, that it seems another successful and calculated attempt to stay in the public eye. Perhaps he's taken a page from so many politicians that have found careless and unkind words sell.

(Gene doesn't know, so why does he act like he does? See careless and unkind above.)
