A Sequel To Mary Poppins?!

Would this be a sequel or a reboot?

I love a good action picture. Car chases, fight scenes - explosions! Hoo-doggie!

I do use the kids as a kind of Disney-movie beard, y'know. They love Harry Potter, so yeah, I'll watch that. I'll watch Finding Dori.

I'll even throw in Mary Poppins. That just might clear the room, except for me...

Emily Blunt has been cast in the title role of a Mary Poppins sequel. That's right. Mary Poppins Returns will hit theaters in 2018. The original, starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke premiered in 1964!

What does Dick Van Dyke think of a Mary Poppins sequel? He admits he has "some doubts".

He appeared on the Today show last Thursday and said that he has "mixed feelings". But, he admitted he'd love to have a cameo with Julie Andrews in the film. Maybe as the old banker toward the end of the film like in the original. When the movie hits theaters, two years from now, Van Dyke will be 93!
