After 22 Years, Refashion is Leaving Rochester?

What the heck? Refashion is leaving downtown Rochester? But they've been downtown for so long! Why leave? And are they leaving Rochester altogether? Nope! Not leaving town, just leaving downtown...moving about 2 miles away to Northgate Shopping Center by the end of Augst. I asked Cindy Hughes, one of Refashion's founders to fill me in...

Why move?

Quite honestly, James, I feel it has been an uphill battle at times because of the construction and lack of parking…we have been a destination in downtown Rochester for over 20 years and have been a part of many changes and challenges. It's getting more difficult and all of these things impact business.

Besides lots of free parking and a new storefront, what can we expect at the new location?

The size is about the same as our downtown location and we will still continue to offer furniture, home accents and of course- better quality, upscale women's apparel, and all accessories!

Looking over the location, I can imagine it'll be much easier to get in and out than on Broadway. Speaking of which, if you want to drop off fall clothes, Cindy asks that you wait ‘til they open the new location at the end of August.

ps - Cindy says yes, big sales going on right now. Basically, if you buy stuff, you're helping her move, right?!
