Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Olmsted County authorities continue searching for a Stewartville man who has been on the run since last September.

That’s when 31-year-old Jasment Taylor led a law officer on a chase that began near Stewartville and ended in a crash in Rochester.

The incident began when an Olmsted County deputy made a traffic stop on Highway 63 near the Rochester airport around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 29th.The deputy discovered the driver was wanted on a parole violation warrant stemming from an armed robbery conviction in Wisconsin.

The deputy tried to take Taylor into custody but he drove off at a high rate of speed, headed to Rochester. The chase hit speeds of 80-100 mph and the deputy broke off the pursuit when they neared downtown Rochester.

A short while later, the pursued vehicle was found abandoned at the intersection of Civic Center Dr and 6th Ave NW. The driver fled after crashing the vehicle.
