“As God As My Witness, I Thought Turkeys Could Fly.”
With Thanksgiving coming up, let's take a look back at one of the greatest Thanksgiving specials ever made, in my opinion. On October 30, 1978, we all learned that Turkeys couldn't fly thanks to WKRP in Cincinnati's episode, "Turkeys Away". WKRP in Cincinnati was a tv series on CBS that aired from September 18, 1978, to April 21, 1982.
In arguably the signature episode in the series, Mr. Carlson, played by Arthur Jump, planned a special holiday promo that doesn't quite goes as planned. Les Nessman (Richard Sanders), is sent out to cover the big event. Les sees a helicopter flying over and that's where everything starts to go wrong! You can watch the clip below!
This episode is over 40 years old but still gets a good laugh from anyone who watches it! What other Thanksgiving specials do you enjoy watching?
