Blow From Beer Bottle Results in Stewartville Woman’s Arrest
Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Stewartville woman is expected to face a felony assault charge for allegedly striking a 22-year-old Stewartville man on the head with a beer bottle.
Olmsted County Sheriff's Captain Scott Behrns says deputies were sent to the Riverview Greens Golf Club in Stewartville just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday and found the victim suffering from multiple lacerations on the left side of his head and neck. Behrns says the deputies were told 20-year-old Kayla Peterson had struck the young man with a bottle'
She was taken into custody on several charges, including 2nd-degree assault, along with misdemeanor counts of domestic assault and underage drinking. The 22-year-old man was transported to St. Mary's hospital for treatment.
Captain Behrns says, at this point, it's not clear what sparked the violent confrontation between the pair.
