Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Two children were sent to the St. Mary’s ER as a precaution Friday morning after the small school bus they were riding in was hit by a car that Rochester police say ran a red light.

The wreck happened at 7 a.m. at the intersection of 18th avenue and 55th Street NW. Police Captain John Sherwin says a car driven by 30 year old Michael Blazing was headed north on 18th avenue when it collided with the bus. Sherwin says Blazing was ticketed for a stop light violation.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
