Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The 63rd Annual Rochester Eagles Cancer Telethon wrapped up Sunday afternoon at the Mayo Civic Center.

When the 20 hour long broadcast on KTTC-TV signed off at 4 p.m. the fundraising total was closing in on $1 million. The preliminary total, which could grow as additional donations come in, stood at over $973,000, which will be shared by the Mayo Clinic, the University of Minnesota and the Hormel Institute to fund research into new treatments and ultimately a cure for cancer.
