The topic of nude beaches came up at work today so naturally we went to Google to see if there are any in Minnesota. I didn't find any beaches but I did learn about Avatan. It's 2-hours north of Rochester and describes itself as Minnesota’s "largest and friendliest nudist community." According to Explore Minnesota, the community is actually a family nudist campground and is licensed by the State. There are RV and tent sites, a pool, a hot tub, a sauna, and a clubhouse. Guests can also participate in activities like volleyball and karaoke.
The thought of camping in the nude doesn't like much fun to me - there are parts of my body that I never want a mosquito to bite - so I won't be adding this to my summer bucket list.
