
Another Cub Foods Is Now Closing For Good In Minnesota
Just a few weeks after it was announced that 5 grocery stores would be closing in Wisconsin, heartbreaking closing news has hit the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Another One of Minnesota's Cub Foods Locations is Closing in 2025
In Minnesota alone, there are about 1,786 supermarkets or grocery stores that are open for consumers. While some communities, like Rochester, have experienced brand new stores Cub Foods stores, other communities in Minnesota are watching their local spot for produce close.
According to Bring Me The News, the Cub Foods store at 1104 Lagoon Ave. closed in June for "needed repairs and other proactive measures". As of July 16th, this store is still closed.
At the end of November in 2024, another Cub Foods also shuttered for good. The location impacted by this closure was the Cub Foods at Brooklyn Park South.
Based on the latest update by the Star Tribune, it appears that another Cub Foods in Minnesota will be closing as well.
Cub Foods in Baxter, Minnesota, Is Closing For Good
After 39 years, S&R Quisberg Inc. is retiring. With this final business decision, their three grocery stores in Minnesota are also seeing some change.
Here is the fate of the three stores owned by S&R Quisberg Inc.:
- Cub Foods in Brainerd will remain open after the sale to Miner's Inc. It will be rebranded to Super One Foods.
- Pequot Lakes Supervalu will remain open after the sale to Miner's Inc. It will be rebranded to Super One Foods.
- Cub Foods in Baxter, located at 14133 Edgewood Dr. N, will be permanently closing in September.
