Now Closed: For Lease Signs Up at Rochester, MN Business

I got a tip that moving trucks were sitting in front of a pizza place in Minnesota.  Sounded a little bit like another business that had trucks out front a few years ago that closed suddenly.  After checking things out, it appears that this spot to grab a hot slice is no longer in business at this location.  And no...I'm not talking about Carbone's in Rochester, Minnesota.  However, that did abruptly close over Memorial Day weekend.

June 2022 was a time for some transition at a pizza spot that quite a few people loved.  5 Dollar Pizza, located at 1105 7th Street NW in Rochester, Minnesota, announced that it was time to hang up their oven mitts.  A new place was moving in though and with that, a new name was going up outside the building.

It's with bittersweet emotions that we have decided to sell our Rochester location!! It's located at 1105 7th St. N.W.(right behind Barlow Center) We are selling TURN KEY, with everything in working order!! We will remain open during this time!! Shortly after that initial announcement, the happy news was shared that a new owner for $5 Pizza was found, Danny's Pizza.

Danny's Pizza in Rochester, Minnesota is Temporarily Closed

Back in April of 2024, a note went up on the Facebook page for Danny's Pizza that said it was currently closed.  The message wasn't all bad news though because it also gave some hope to pizza lovers that something new was in the works.

When I stopped by Danny's Pizza, "for lease" signs were in the windows.  If Danny's Pizza is bringing us something new, it doesn't appear to be happening in this building.

I did reach out to Danny's Pizza last week for an update and they did indicate that they would give me one.  I sent a note again on Tuesday, May 28th.  If I hear back, I'll share that news over on my Facebook page - Jessica On The Radio.  Give it a follow so you don't miss that update!
